Wound up in Wexford

Our communications hub

We got quite a lot done in the garden today.  We tidied up the grass bed again, and planted the grasses we bought at Beth Chatto's garden.  We also weeded other beds, and planted several more plants.  But I didn't take photos of any of this.

So instead you get a late night photo of the internet hub and the myenergi hub.  This apparently co-ordinates the information from the Zappi, and the box of tricks upstairs by the hot tank, called an Eddi.  I have no idea what the various green and blue lights mean.

The Zappi is the main brains, it is apparently able to tell us how much energy we are importing from the grid, or how much we are exporting from our solar panels.  It transmits this information to the hub, which also talks to the Eddi, which uses home produced electricity to heat our hot water.

All the info is then transmitted to an app on W's phone - so yesterday afternoon he was able to tell me that we were exporting electricity to the grid.  And this evening he was able to tell me that we were using 600W, which seemed a lot to power a few lights and the central heating pump.  We didn't even have the TV on at that point.
