J and C arrived first thing to fit some more PV's.

We already have PV panels on our house - as many as we could fit on the south facing aspect.  But we've been thinking more about our electricity usage since ordering an electric car last December (which incidentally, our dealer assures us is now "on the boat" and should be with us "before the end of the month", though we're not holding our breath, as I don't think he actually specified which month!*).  In addition to having a home charger fitted, we decided that we could get more PV panels on the office.

These have been fitted on the roof before the worst of the rain today, and are now connected and producing a trickle of electricity despite the very overcast conditions.  The car charger is a special one that can be set to only run from the PV produced electricity, but is not in stock and may not be available before the end of the month.

We're also getting other gadgets (an Eddie? and a Harvey?) that will allow us to monitor our production, and to divert our self-generated power to heat our water if it's not needed to charge the car.  All feeding W's OCD tendencies - apparently you can get a dongle on the inverter that connects it to our wifi, and an app that displays exactly what we are generating at any time!

*When we had our test drive - ironically on April 1st - we were told we would get our car within the next couple of months!
