Fungus

The plan was to take our annual trip up to Perthshire to admire the autumn colours but we took a different route this time, down a strath which was singularly devoid of trees, let alone a mass of pretty yellowy bronzey ones.
By way of compensation we went up to Loch Turret and walked along the dam. Unlike walkingMarj I did not have to bend down to take my photos of these little fungi as they were growing in the mossy surface of the dam wall. Despite their delicate appearance, they must be tough as the wind blowing across them was positively arctic.
Stopping at the power station downstream, what appeared to be a samara from a sycamore but turned out to be an insect, landed on the wall in front of me, demanding a portrait, so appears as an extra - an ID would be welcome.
It was a nice day out but I'm still hoping for some good autumn colours.
