Tranquility

It was a perfect beach day, the sea smooth and calm like silk. We went to the playa de los Muertos, just along the coast. After a couple of hours' lounging, we strolled along to the Balcon de Cotobro for lunch. I know I've said this before, but I could live on Spanish salads. They are substantial and imaginative. Today we shared a salad consisting of a bed of lettuce with chicken tikka, tomatoes, avocados, red onion, shaved parmesan, and yogurt sauce -- like a souped up Caesar salad. And followed it with raw Barbate tuna with guacamole and mango, before sharing a sublime cheesecake. A few more hours on the beach, home around 6:30. Yes, I did have a dip.
