Community Breakfast.

There is no church service on site as it were today, but various groups doing other things.
Our particular “community” group had breakfast all together at one of our young member’s houses.
She had finished night shift in A and E 2 hours earlier but had wanted all of us to meet there. She is so hospitable and loves having “Open House” telling us that she would be going to bed when we all left.
Each group has a small allowance from church in lieu of the service to buy coffee, tea and other goods. We have a baker (not hubby!) who brought some freshly baked cinnamon rolls which were absolutely scrumptious.
Alongside a plate of Pain au Raisin swirls, a dish of freshly chopped fruit, warm croissants and granola with natural yogurt to pour. Obviously there were contributions from the rest of us.
A good time to catch up and chat and share food together.
Glorious morning and afternoon with icy blue skies and strong sunlight, which backlit the leaves of the trees in her road with every autumn shade from the red maples in gardens, to the golden oaks and the russet beeches. Chilly wind after a frosty start.
Autumn feast of a colour palette.
Hubby and I now sitting in our summerhouse after lunch with the sun streaming in and warming our faces.
I took the photo at our breakfast gathering as the light shining on to the kitchen windowsill had a lovely effect through the coloured glass.
