Off We Go!!

Today was finally the day!!
We're off to Norway on the Queen Mary 2.
And much to Miss L's relief we made it down to Southampton without delay and managed to get onboard an hour sooner that we were supposed to. Whoop whoop!!
Once we'd dropped our bags into the cabin - and Miss L was reassured that the people who had whisked our suitcases off from the car hoad indeed taken them to our cabin!! - we headed straight up to the Kings Court for lunch.
Seven days of eating starts here!!
In between lunch and the muster drill we fitted in a few cocktails and mocktails and fairly unlimited ice cream for the Little Misses from the do-it-yourself Mr Whippy machines. Then we explored the ship and went up onto the top deck for Sail Away. 
The Little Misses loved dressing up for dinner. It was great to see them in all their finery. And being so good and grown up in the restaurant.
By the time we got back to the cabin it was after 11pm. I think we were all asleep by time our heads hit the pillows.
Obviously once we'd eaten the chocolates left on the pillows!!
