Lotus-eating on a palm-fringed beach

There are no two ways about it - this is a lotus-eater's paradise, though I'm not sure how you eat a lotus, or even what is it!

The local fishermen here on the north Bali coast offer early-morning trips out to see the dolphins. That's a bit too strenuous for me - I prefer to sit in my hammock.

Tomorrow we call a halt to lotus-eating and head to Ubud.
