Still Life

This is just some of the stuff I used to make a batch of fig jam that has way too much ginger in it. I can only hope it, or I, will mellow over time. Shoulda listened to my higher self when she said 4 ounces sounded like an awful lot.

We are confronted with the mystery disappearance of one of our cats. Have searched high and low, and high and low again, all over the house. It's unlikely she got outside, but we simply can't find her. She is a good hider when she wants to disappear, but it's getting on to be a long day without food. Don't really know what to do except keep our ears peeled for little meows.
