Whizzing

Busy day in meetings, plotting and drafting. Ended by attending a lecture in a venue on the High St I’ve never visited before. As expected fabulous powerful delivery about Frederick Douglass’s fight against slavery and his visits to Scotland in the 19th Century. I suspect the reinterpretation of the ‘enlightenment’ period was a bit of a shock to the solid burghers in attendance from the Edinburgh World Heritage society....let alone to hear how some of their treasured buildings were financed.
Home (so nice to be closer to town again) and made a simple supper - only have one pan at the moment - then got stuck into writing response paper for tomorrow.
Chatted to A for most of her drive home as she mulls over her life and decisions and worries.....lovely to have such open chats with her.
The bathroom drain has been fixed more simply than was expected, and the mirror cabinet is up now, the hallway’s been papered and painted, so it’s definitely feeling nearly done. Just the snagging, unpacking and picture hanging to go!
