Quod oculus meus videt

Blaencwm, Rhondda Fawr Valley

Well after two days the sun finally made an appearance.  I'd woken earlier than the rest of the guests and drove up the valley to the pass and then started working my way back to the hotel.  Just after 8 am the sun started to break through the cloud, shining up the valley to Pen Pych (the flat topped mountain to the right of the image).

It's been an interesting couple of days,  The area is stunning and at this time of year the autumn colours just add to the scenes you come across as you drive around the area.  On our way back we cut across the Brecon Beacons, passed Pen Y fan, before stopping off in Hay on Wye for a little mooch around the shops.  You realise why it is called the 'town of books'.  It was a very enjoyable couple of hours.
