Quod oculus meus videt

Gingko Biloba

A busy day, still sorting out surplus photo equipment while at the same time watching the live broadcast on You Tube from day one of the On Landscape Meeting of Minds Conference from the Rheged Centre in Penrith.  The first speaker was Charlie Waite, who won't need any introduction to anyone who love their landscape images.

The second speaker was someone I wasn't familiar with, Sandra Bartocha. If you get the chance to review her talk (On Landscape will probably post a video in due course on their You Tube Channel), it was quite inspiring to me.  She exhibited some wonderful work using in-camera multiple exposures, very reminiscent of the Pep Ventosa style of work.

The second day of the event will be broadcast on their channel tomorrow morning UK time.

All in all I was distracted enough to have forgotten to take a photograph until late on.  This Gingko Biloba tree is in a neighbours garden, side lit with the wall behind in the shade.  I'll admit the image didn't turn out as I wanted so I ducked into Silver Efex Pro to create a more abstract image.  Sometimes black and white is the refuge of the uninspired photographer.
