The accidental finding

Star Anise

...is a cafe in Stroud, where the cooking is macrobiotic. It's popular with the Steiner parents, as it is near one of the town's two Steiner kindergartens. It's a lovely place to go wi-fi with a drink and eavesdrop on conversations, because the tables are often shared. I wouldn't go there if discretion and privacy was essential, though. Then again, I probably wouldn't go anywhere in Stroud if that were the case.

Enough of this rambling. I have not visited any macrobiotic cafes or had a single clandestine meeting this week. I am simply delaying the moment when I have to tell you that today I had a choice of blipping either:
Wart removal from my thumb, or
Something from my kitchen.

I figured there's probably a specialist channel for those who want to see the former! Although the sun shone beautifully, I was mainly at work or rushing between home/work/second job. Taking photos at special school or rehab is not something I want to do, so this is my late-entry blip for today.

In other news, the franking machine has been fixed, thanks to Andy at Tech support, and I'd like to thank all those who attempted to solve the riddle in my blip of yesterday. FrankS was the winner, with Cobweb Brush. I would offer to go and spring clean his house/chalet as the prize, but I've discovered when Frank says "make the bed" he means, "dismantle the old bed, remove it from the premises, and assemble new bed, before covering with sheets and blankets". To be frank, Frank, I'm not sure I'm up to that sort of challenge so early in 2013!

Happy weekend, blipmates everywhere.
