A Tropical Flower....

One of our beautiful broadleaf shrubs is the Lorapetlum.  It makes a beautiful shrub.......  deep green leaves, that turn red in the cooler air. (Over the top of the flower).  Twice a year the shrub floswers into this dainty, red blossom with tendrils that turn up at the end.  Because it is an evergreen, like a Pine, the leaves are quickly replace with new green leaves as the red ones fall off.
     Like all of our shrubs here, it can be shaped into a beautiful bonsai.
