Low branch removal

A walk in Auckland Domain (Pukekawa) this lunch time. I passed a line of large and spreading Pohutukawa. This one has recently lost a very low lying branch, probably because recent high winds snapped it, and the surgery is to tidy up the wound.

I found a nice seat in the shade and ate my sandwiches. I saw and heard a couple of rosellas, but far too fast and high to get a photo with the wee Canon.
