Wild Wednesday: the bird in the bush

I looked out of the kitchen window this afternoon, and saw what seemed to. be a goldfinch with a pure white head on one of the feeders.  I raced off to get the camera so that I would have some evidence to be able to research whether this was just a one off mutation or something new, but, needless to say when I returned seconds later the bird had flown.

So instead, here is a shot of a rather more common greedyguts pigeon eyeing up the cotoneaster berries.  (Yes that is the bird's official name, but I don't have the latin version for the species to hand sadly).
