The Lovely Autumn Weather Continues

Today the fog burned off earlier in the morning, although I had work to do so stayed in all morning. I played golf this afternoon with my dear golfing buddy and her husband - two of my favorite people. My game, after two weeks of playing in Portugal and a third getting ready for the trip, was downright miserable. But the sun and the company were lovely!

My sister and I have an Etsy business, so I spent the afternoon working on that. In between I slipped out to the garden. I'm drawn to the various seed heads that remain in the garden, and these are no exception. These are Black-eyed Susan's or Rudbeckia fulgida var. sullvantii.  Although they re-seed themselves profusely, I do leave the seed heads for the birds - goldfinches in particular. They're really lovely in the autumn sun!

It appears that our fair weather will continue for the foreseeable future. What odd weather!
