Back To Front

Trailing on the coat tails of my sister, who is a gallery member, I had the chance to see three exhibitions this morning. I couldn't resist.

Firstly we had a viewing of the new Leonardo show based around the Madonna of The Rocks (see extra). Leonardo wrote stuff that he wanted to keep to himself back to front. Reversed. What did I think? Well, 18 Quid to see a picture which is in their collection anyway - what's that all about then?

Next in to the Pre-Raphaelite Sisterhood in the National Portrait Gallery. Pre-Raph's aren't my cuppa but there were some nice pictures, especially those painted by the women whose artistic skills were ignored at the time because of their gender. So, John Ruskin, where do you sit on the Me-Too agenda?

Finally a whizz around the Taylor Wessing photo portraits. This is usually a bit earnest and straight faced (literally). But there is some jollity this time around.

Just time afterwards to stroll back to the tube station via a coffee stall at the refurbished Centre Point development and snap a Leonardo type name panel.

A good morning, thanks to sis's invitation.
