Don’t the four silly monkeys realise this is a Monkey puzzle tree and now they can hardly climb it.
Apparently in the mid 19th century when someone was being shown his friend’s new tree with its hard prickly spiral leaves, he remarked “it would puzzle a monkey to climb that."  So the name has stuck with the Araucaria araucana tree becoming very popular during Victorian and Edwardian times.
