This evening we went to see a re-enactment in sound and light at Craigmillar Castle of the plot in 1566 to kill Darnley who was Mary Queen of Scots’ very unpopular husband.  It is very uncertain if she knew of the “Craigmillar Bond” plot but here she is with her personal maid and Sir Robert Preston who had given her hospitality
