Old and New

A new decision ahead. Again we spent a lot of time for research and it was time to have a look in reality. We dropped T. and Omo at R. in Frankfurt (Thousand thanks R:!!!) and went to the city. We visited the My Zeil, a rather  futuristic shopping mall to try out a new camera for J..
His favourite is a Nikon 850...
We also had a short look at the new renovated Römer. It looked beautiful in the evening sun, but it got really cold and we decided to pick up T. and Omo and return home.
It was a long time since my last visit to the city of Frankfurt and and I did not feel well. The contrast between rich and poor is overwhelming. For the most part, people look unhappy and rushed. Nobody looks you in the eye, which is understandable in the amount of people. Nobody takes care, they run straight into you...
It was also a demonstration of Kurds who wanted to draw attention to the suffering caused by the invasion of Rojava by Turkey. (See 2nd xtra) There were perhaps 50 protesters waving flags peacefully. They were surrounded by certainly more than 100 police officers. It was really surreal and very strange.
