Remembrance Sunday 2019

Attended the veterans parade again this year after an absence of 3 years. I last did it in 2015 and since then there's been one thing or another that prevented me from going.
It was good to meet up with other members of the RAF Masirah and RAF Salalah Veterans Association, bit of a mouthful so we usually refer to it as RAF Oman Veterans.
It was also very emotional to be wearing my fathers medals for the first time. So proud of him, may he rest in peace, he was an amazing father and a very brave soldier (6th Battallion Blackwatch 1941-45 Italy, Monte Cassino, Rimini, Rome and Crete/ Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders 1945-47 in Palestine)
The photograph was taken before we marched out onto Whitehall from Horse Guards Parade. The Wreath is in memory of the animals that had no choice about going to war and perished along with the soldiers they were helping. Animals Remembered Association.
