Lengthening shadows.

Today the sun shining on the yellowing leaves of the silver birch outside my window beckoned to me. It has been a week today since I had a full knee replacement operation. I have been on the road to recovery and gradually my knee has been strengthened and has regained some of its flexibility. I decided to take a walk on my crutches just down the road and back. Suzy took this photo of my shadow in the low winter sunshine as we returned home.
Grateful today for sunshine on my face, my first proper shower in a week and a sense of progress in my rehabilitation
