Life's Little Moments

After an absence of tiny striped rodents yesterday, there were a handful out on the patio this morning, bright and early.  They were hoovering up seeds like mad, then dashing hither and yon to their burrows to store their treasure.  Once in a while, a little break to nosh on a seed, as seen here.  Yes, that is her tiny little lower lip - she's never been told that it is impolite to chew with your mouth open I guess.  Well, she can be forgiven just on the basis of cuteness, I think.

It is bitter cold today with the high barely getting to 31 F and now headed down to 16 overnight.  Brrrrr.  I spent most of the day indoors near the fireplace, with a break to go to the gym (Day 3 for the week).  Tomorrow will be a little warmer, up into the very low 40's and then back up to 50 on Friday which is normal for this time of year.  SIL is still off work, recovering from her surgery, but definitely on the mend.  She is headed over to see MIL tonight.  Hubs is going over to the ManCave to work on the race car and I plan to spend a quiet evening with a good book and a cat in my lap.

I'm consulting with the Tufted Titmice and we will be announcing our favorite picks for Tiny Tuesday tomorrow - stay tuned to this space!
