Mayflower

Another day of horrible weather but around lunchtime we decided to brave the wet fine rain to go grab a blip. A steam train was passing through the city on its way from London taking a trip up to York. We arrived at our vantage point and waited for it to coming steaming past us, Julie and myself was the only people to position ourselves on the bridge looking down onto the track normally you have to jostle for places. I took a few shots but due to the misty rain not the best of shots the other 5 can be seen HERE . This was a rare visit by this particular train as it doesn't normally travel up this way so it was the 1st time I've seen this particular steam train . We then headed home via Tesco where we grabbed something for lunch .
This afternoon we headed over to visit Jeri and the boys where we enjoyed a nice Sunday lunch cooked by her partner Paul . Back home now in the warm and a spot of catch up TV.
