Just one suicide....

Woke early and cracked on with some writing I'd been putting off and caught up on emails, so that was useful and set me up well for the rest of the day which was, as expected, totally non-stop apart from 10 minutes to eat a delicious fish pie V had brought in. She's not very well at the moment so I'm not sure she appreciated it as much as we did!
Dashed off to an 'unwrapped' performance of Tosca. Not been to one of these before and it was excellent - a narrator to talk us through the story and interview the conductor and a singer, views of how they do scene changes, and a 'greatest hits' version of the key arias (so we missed the execution, another suicide and the murder!) All done in an hour... unlike last Thursday....really great to see a much more diverse audience too with quite a few children. Tomorrow afternoon there's also a dementia friendly performance - they've got some great approaches to opening up the art form to new groups at the moment.
Home in the very cold and crisp evening - I missed the sunshine today but it's been a lovely day as we turn from autumn to winter.
