Butterfly weed

The asclepias is not going to go away!   The plants in the front yard (five or six stalks)  are still blooming and have more buds that have not opened yet.  One of the plants is the red/yellow color but the rest are all yellow.   We have had a couple nights with temps near or at freezing but apparently the plants don't care.  Now we are having a little warming up and sunshine so they might bloom more.    Not that we get any butterflies now but seeing flowers in the front yard is really nice!   

After the rain and wind we had on Saturday, the yard has double the amount of leaves that I raked earlier in the week.  Now I have to wait for them to dry up a bit so I can rake again!     We did get the fallen tree cleaned up this morning.  The clothesline is back in place but the swingset is not going to do the job of holding up the wisteria.  

I am going to nag the hubby into making some kind of trellis with the frames and posts that are left.   Oh no,  the best way to get this done is to go outside and try to do it myself as he will have to come and supervise!    

It has been cloudy all day but now at 4:30 the sun is breaking through the clouds...just in time for sunset!
