At work

I was back in Kintyre today, with another visit to CS Wind to meet the workforce, many of whom are facing  the threat of redundancy, to work with Unite the Union who are representing them and , alongside the union to  talk to management about what their plans are and how it is vital for information and support to be given to those highly skilled employees still  constructing generating towers for the offshore market.

Kintyre is also facing other job losses, including at the creamery, and urgent work is being done to follow up on the well attended Economic Growth Summit last Monday, jointly organised by the Scottish Government and Argyll & Bute Council  at the MACC site just up the hill from where I took this picture this morning.
