Wallpaper II

I suggested yesterday's blip might make a fabric design.  Some of you thought wallpaper instead.  Well here is another variation on wallpaper - Medieval wall painting, newly restored.

Today was not an ideal day for outside shots - wet and dark grey - but nor was it a day for a still life.  And besides I didn't have time, needing to shop for my son's birthday feast tomorrow and chosing having to have coffee and carrot cake with a friend.  So when in town I popped into the Cathedral to get my blip and gawp again at some of the fantastic new restoration work.

It was in fact a wonderful visit.  Not only the above (in a tiny side chapel) but the music, because the place suddenly burst into life with the most spine-tingling plainsong.  A young man in jeans, with backpack on, was standing in front of one of the side altars singing alone to the glory of God.  Wow!
