Late bloomers

I love the humble marigold, and its hardiness even after the first frosts of winter. In the picture above, it made me smile to see the flower in the foreground appearing to grow from a metal stem. An optical illusion!

Another fun-filled day, but babycare duties didn't stop me from baking a banana loaf. Best of all: I got to bathe little Miss B this evening - all kicky legs and beaming smiles! And the baby did the same, ha ha!! Think I shall sleep for a week when I return home ...!
