Sue has contributed in so many ways to our church and to the Italian Catholic Federation it’s hard to count. She was in charge of the cooking of our lasagna dinners and meatball/pasta dinners over the years, during which we raised countless thousands for charity, as well as organizing every dinner for our monthly meetings.

Earlier this year she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, the second member of our church group to suffer from it ( Joe, the other, is in hospice.). This evening, about 30 of us went to Red Lobster to celebrate her 75th birthday. I have never seen her smile as much as she did tonight. It was wonderful to see.

I have two back blips to post yet tonight. Then it’s off to Madera Canyon tomorrow afternoon for three days and two nights off the grid.
