End of the pier show

I had an appointment in Cromer this morning and walked the long way back to the car to take in the promenade, complete with beach huts, fishing boats, ancient tractors (for towing said fishing boats up and down the beach), and of course the pier. The beach was all but deserted (this was 12.30 and you can see how gloomy it was - it had just stopped raining) and I was just getting ready to take this shot on my phone when this couple, in matching waterproofs and hats, appeared in sight.

The seafront is in out-of-season mode - boarded-up surf shacks, ice cream emporia covered in tarpaulins, not a donut (note spelling) to be had anywhere. You're out of luck if you fancy a round of crazy golf, too. But there's tinsel all over the entrance to the pier, and the posters are up for the Christmas show.
