Townscape

Usual kind of Friday morning - frosty, off to the gym, followed by shopping. After lunch I went up to the walled garden at Glencruitten to dig up my spuds - King Edwards. The top inch of the soil was frozen, but underneath it was fine. Came home with a nice little haul.

The pictures I took at the walled garden weren't up to much as the sun goes behind the trees very early at this time of year. On the way back I diverted up to Pulpit Hill and took a few photographs of the traditional view of the town, with McCaig's Tower lit up, a train sitting in the station and the Lismore ferry 'Loch Riddon' tying up at the North Pier - you can see the swirl where she's just turned round. At the right edge you can see a small part of the Beinn Cruachan massif.

Looks like this frosty weather is going to be around for a while. Off to Glasgow tomorrow for a family birthday.
