A night away

Set off for Glasgow this morning - another bright, frosty start. A quick break in Inveraray where I took (yet) another picture of the so-called 'Vital Spark'. She was built in Hull in 1944 and named VIC 72, was renamed twice more and has ended up with her current name, after the fictional 'Vital Spark' in Neil Munro's 'Para Handy Tales'.

They say that it's bad luck to change a ship's name and this appears to be true of this puffer. She was still for sale in August this year for £115,000 and I'm not aware that she's been sold, tho' if that's incorrect I'm sure Richard will put me right! Even the pier is derelict! So much for Inveraray as a tourist destination!

On to Glasgow and back home in the morning.
