Life in Sunny Dubai

East Coast Tour

Today we skipped church, packed a cool box, and headed to the East Coast; a part of the country we haven't visited for way too long. It's been so long, we couldn't recognise a lot of places. New roads, new buildings, loads of development; it was hard to take it all in.

The day was beautiful with clouds in the sky and G did a great job taking pictures from a fast-moving car. I had the dashcam going as well, but haven't had the chance to look at any of the footage yet.

We stopped to eat at the Le Meridien; somewhere else we haven't been in for ages. Glad to see they have kept their standards in service and maintaining the property (unlike the Ritz Carlton in Muscat!). It would have been great to have travelled down on the old scenic route on the West Coast so we could have visited six out of seven Emirates, but the sun sets so early these days and daylight time vanished.

Awful to see the news about the knife attack in London.
