Poo Sticks

The etymology of the name Mistletoe derives from the Anglo Saxon for bird guano and a small twig - so for all the palaver of Druids sending young girls to capture the semen of the gods, what we're really all about is Poo-sticks.

Tomorrow is National Mistletoe day, but today we passed this clump standing precariously visible on the main road. I dare say it will not be there for long now the winter winds have caused the branch to droop.

The local farm used to put out free mistletoe (of course useless, as it had touched the ground) but they've sold off the land for housing and cut down the trees it was hosted by. Alternate sources are therefore welcome.

Baldur's Bane; we will have a few springs up later, but today it's still November and while the neighbours might be putting up all sorts of lighting and decoration we're still entirely humbug.
