The Lion and the Unicorn carvings

The Lion and the Unicorn carvings at Glasgow University adorn a staircase balustrade. The staircase, originally built in 1690, formed part of the University's Old College site on High Street. When the University moved to its current location in Gilmorehill in 1870, the staircase and sculptures were dismantled and incorporated into the new building. (A water reflection filter applied.)
