El desayuno

Emergency blip ... I overslept and had to leap out of bed and head straight to MariVi's for my final physio session. After an hour's pummelling I felt I'd earned a classic Spanish breakfast of coffee and a tostada with tomato.

Later in the day we went to our new Spanish class. We enjoy Mariano's class in Salobreña, but it's got too big -- there are 20 people in it now. Too much time spent listening to people speaking Spanish badly. Beatriz's class is more expensive but you are in a group of three or four. Makes it harder work! But you get more feedback on mistakes and more explanation of grammar.

By then we needed further refreshment, so we tried a different restaurant for lunch. It wasn't bad at all, good value for money, but it won't displace our favourites.

For blippers in France: this afternoon I watched a documentary on France 3 called Brexitanie, about British people in Occitanie and Brexit; someone on Facebook had mentioned it. To my surprise, it opened with a scene I recognised because it was the house of two ex-blippers, Lizzie and Ali. They play quite a large part in the programme, so if you remember them and you can speak French, you can watch on catch-up (if you are in France or can pretend to be).

And finally, this evening was choir practice again. Ready for bed now, early start in the morning.
