Alfriston

We were up relatively early this morning as one of my Brighton Skies friends, also called Alan, was coming round to clear our gutters. He has a roofing business and thank goodness he came as when he got up there, he sent us a photo - the gutters were completely full of moss, they were like a little rain forest!

We then took the boys to the vets, and saw the locum Vet Nadia, who was really lovely and quite a character. After the cock up the other week, they’d added a credit of £38 to my account and we didn’t charge for the consultation!

After dropping the boys at home, we went to Seaford as they had a Christmas Magic event, with stalls and entertainment. It was ok, but not as good as last year when they also had a French market, but there was a very nice stall selling German Bratwurst so I had a curry wurst and Alan has a frankfurter for our lunch.

We then drove on to Alfriston which is a quaint little village nearby, and went to the Clergy House which dates back to 1350. It’s the very first property bought by the National Trust in 1896 for £10. after having a wander we went to The Singing Kettle for a drink and a mince pie and then headed home, stopping off at Sainsbury’s for a food shop.

Takeaway curry bought so we didn’t have to cook, and we had a TV dinner while catching up on last nights’ Celebrity.

I had a major achievement with my arm tonight, I managed to open a bottle of wine - it’s the little things lol!
