Birds

When I go away for a while it takes the birds some time before they realize I'm back and putting food out again. Usually it is just a day or two. This morning they stayed clear for hours because two hawks were up in the trees nearby. 

I had my eyes dilated as part of a health not prescription eye exam. I think it has been an incredibly long time since my last one but it is possible I just don't remember. On the drive home every light had the most extraordinary rays, long, distinct, plentiful, exaggerated. Some even had rainbows at the end of the rays. I would have taken a picture for you but
a) I was driving
b) your eyes weren't dilated, you wouldn't have seen the rays (ha)

I know, I know, you aren't supposed to drive after your eyes are dilated but I have serious sunglasses and it wasn't bothering me. The last time I remember having my eyes dilated it didn't really bother me then either. 

I sent the last of the calendars that I made and sold for the fundraiser and then made a nice donation to Fair Fight. It combats voter suppression.
