Tekapo

This morning early oldTimer and I set off to photograph the lupins and grebes....both done very successfully......I’ve taken the lazy route and loading from my phone...just too many to scroll through tonight on the computer.  We had such an awesome day, lots of lupins, and the “Johnny go to sleep” (they have a fancy name) meaning as soon as the sun goes away they close up.  I’ve put some other as extras.
Because of the recent and excessive weather event both lakes were extremely high.  At Lake Alexandria some of the lupins  were in the water, being  partially submerged which made for a different perspective , they are on the computer.
The grebes were out and about, camera on rapid, so many photos to be viewed , many for the bin too.  But that’s for another day.
Feeling very weary tonight.
Much sadness here in NZ and over the ditch with the tragedy that has unfolded on White Island....it appears that twelve tourists, and one local guide have lost their lives.  Don’t know really what to say other than my heart goes out to so many caught up in this hideous event.
