Sally Mair - Loving life

Fraser's no More

I do hope that the inclusion of the clock on the illustrated cover up of the old Fraser's store, while they create the new Johnnie Walker Experience, indicates that it might be being reinstated. It hasn't worked for years and as a child I used to love standing at Binns corner and watching the clockwork soldiers marching around it when it struck. It was almost as much of a highlight as watching the cuckoo on the floral clock!
Wednesday today so church this morning
then along to the rectory to see how the decoration is coming along. It's due to be finished next week and the flooring in before Christmas. It will be a huge relief when it is all done.
This afternoon I went up to school to see the Christmas Show which was wonderful as ever. It's great to see children having fun and especially to see those who have often been failed by mainstream education come into their own and grow in confidence and skills in the specialist environment. Every child deserves to experience success, and if they don't then the system is failing them.
Back home again and a quiet evening apart from the fact that I have successfully sold something on eBay for the first time ever. Hooray.
