Sundown 3.30pm. Towards the shortest day.

Just been to post more cards in the postbox at the end of the road. Beautiful sunset going on. So I went to the end of the garden and took the photo. There was a mistle thrush in the garden earlier but he eluded me.
Shortest day coming up here in our Northern Hemisphere this coming Saturday, 21st December.

Correction to the date this year:
It is December 22nd.
Shortest Day of the Year in the Northern Hemisphere. The December solstice can be on December 20, 21, 22, or 23. The North Pole is tilted furthest from the Sun. It is the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, where it is the darkest day of the year.
