Towards the shortest day. 6.45 a.m.

We are now almost at the Winter Solstice, on December 21st.
I’m just having my usual early morning (for me) coffee.
I opened the back door to look at the clear sky dotted with stars.
It is gradually, imperceptibly, creeping towards daylight.
