A BIT OF HISTORY....

.... this has been something I have wanted to check out for awhile!

It is down in the Richmond Lowlands on the mighty Hawkesbury River banks and built in 1909.

Called the Riverfarm Pumping Station, I have the info here on this link. Have a read, it again shows how forward thinking our early generations were, with no hinderances from "opinions" as to why something cannot be done! Just it is what is needed, and let's get it done!

The design is amazing have a look here of how it has 17 metres below ground as a water well, and above are the pumps.

Of course the skies were filled again with smoke, and whilst I was having fun with the birdies here on Flickr there are a couple of laughs.

Yes, whilst doing this the BIG fire plane made about three return trips to the fire fronts obviously getting ahead of the issues due tomorrow with our expected 43 deg C and hi winds. It is going to be areal test for the already overstretch Firies.

Have a good day, and check this in LARGE
