Pub lunch

This morning our lane was partially flooded with muddy water which was flowing fast towards the village. Consequently we drove rather than walk, to the local church to meet with the volunteer who works hard for the charity Target Ovarian Cancer.

Any money we receive from the sale of hen and duck eggs we give to charity. In the past we have donated it to animal rescue charities but we decided to give the money raised over the past few months to Target Ovarian Cancer. With some extra donations from friends we gave the volunteer £100.

The church community cafe had a carol concert today but we were unable to stay for it. It was very busy with mainly elderly people enjoying the friday coffee and cake session.

Lunchtime we met with friends Anita and Brian for a pre christmas lunch at the Bo-Peep. It was a very pleasant few hours catching up on all the news.

Fortunately the rain has stopped and hopefully the three floods we drove through on the lanes will soon dry up.
