Growing in the mud

Had a walk round the garden to inspect the mud. Yesterday a pond had appeared in a grassy area but today it has dried up.

The "birds" arent bothered by the mud and the ducks enjoy sifting through it and putting it in their fresh water.

The chard and fennel are growing well in the mud. They have survived the deluge and look very healthy. Must be a contender for Silly Saturday. Thanks Admirer for keeping us on our toes.

Friends, June and steve, came this afternoon for a Christmas drink and Christmas nibbles. They brought us a lovely chocolate and cranberry panetonne. One of my favourite food choices at Christmas.
