Having my cake & eating it

I made our Christmas cake a few weeks ago, have fed it several times since with spiced rum and resisted cutting into it, until today that is! Well, we had to check that its edible..... pleased to say it is!!! Am really pleased with it to be honest :-)

The sparkly green stars in the background are just little lights pushed into an empty wine bottle.....they look really pretty on the kitchen island alongside little tree & pine cones.

We had a walk into town this morning just to stretch our legs really, had a coffee whilst we were there of course.

I've been partially preparing spicy prawn masala this afternoon, for dinner this evening, smells lovely!
