Not so festive

We  seem to have gone from one extreme to another in a very short space of time around our way.  A month or so ago the pond at the top of our road had shrunk to no more than a puddle and today we are subject to several flood warnings as the River Roding has burst its banks after days of heavy rainfall.  There are several sports club and a children's nursery either side of the road where this shot was taken, all flooded.  Fortunately the houses are at a slightly higher level and have escaped the water, although this is not the case in other places local to us.
