Eda meets the bear!

Eda opened her stocking this morning and then after breakfast we walked up to church in lovely sunny weather. I am full of cold so felt a bit guilty going but we really enjoyed it. Eda went up to the manger to wish the baby Jesus Happy Birthday!
She had her lunch whist we prepared ours and then she went off for her nap. We started opening presents but when she came down she wasn’t really in the mood for it so she played Moana in her box with daddy whilst we had a rest!
Revived we returned to the present pile under the tree and here you can see her opening her present from Uncle Alex. She was thrilled to get a bear at last, especially after our ‘Bear’ hunt in the garden yesterday. John videoed it and she exclaimed ‘It’s a bear, I’ll get it a honey sandwich’ which she went off to get a pretend Honey sandwich, quoting a bit more of the book. She loves it and and straight away it had to go in the Moana boat (box) with her. Love to see the imagination at work.
We’ve had a lovely day, so special with a child around and after she went to bed we finally finished our dinner with puddings and then cheese, cake, dates etc as we played a game Grace had bought called ‘Codenames’. Excellent fun and a great way to wind up the day.
Lots of present still around the tree as Eda didn’t open any more after she got her bear so we get to do it again in the morning!
Hope you’ve all had a great day too.
(A couple of other favourites in the extra. Eda looking very cheeky, in her Moana cloak, when she got the stool out herself to get to the Turkey remains! It’s good to have a tall daddy who can lift you up high as well as carry you around in a box!)
