Jumping Jack

‘D’ (a friend’s son) is definitely out the box. A veritable live wire (when he wants). Here entangled by fairy lights.

Hopefully Ingeborg will find this sufficiently abstract for today's Boxing Day challenge “Out of the Box  - Make of it whatever you want as long as it's a BIT abstract“.

Nasty, windy, rainy, but mild out. We’re shortly heading by bus to Christchurch (30mns) to investigate a pub that opened 2 weeks ago. Sounds promising. Set up by the wife of the enterprising ‘cool’ couple whose little foodie empire is continuing to expand (he set up the new cheese shop, in Southbourne, I mentioned a few days ago)

Time to rescue my orchids from their water bath. 3 out of 4 in bud now. Maybe the 4th will surprise us yet.

Have a good Boxing day ....

Update 16:54 - the new pub was closed. Christchurch was 99% closed.  We headed down to the Quay, low tide, but plenty evidence of the flooding down there. The rivers were in full flow, and more rain due, so expect there’ll be more flooding at high tide (no properties affected, just low lying gardens)

We chatted to a charming young Brazilian on the return bus, works at the well known pizza chain Pizza E****, he said they only served 4 tables all day.
